Winter Snow

Winter may not be a favorite season for some, yet children love playing in the snow. Who doesn’t remember having a snowball fight as a child?  I must admit I wanted to stay home and not go out after this last snow storm. However, my little one quickly convinced me it was time to go play.

Winter time is a good time to let the inner child come out and play. If you have children, go and have fun! Make some snow angels, snowman or snowballs. Just be sure to dress children in warm layers, skip the cotton clothing this time. Choose fleece, wool or warm fabrics and keep hands and head covered. Offer a snack before going out to maintain energy and make sure their feet are warm and dry.

We have more snow on the way so it may be a good time to go to library and get some books to read with my little one. The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats and The Mitten by Jan Brett are two favorite classics for children.  Perhaps you can also enjoy a good cup of  hot chocolate and read to your child. Make some memories and Happy Valentine’s day!winter,smile.wtrmrk.snpwinter.snp.

lady in red. precious, fluffy little Chloe.  I still cannot believe I managed to photograph this very active three month old puppy yesterday. I had a great time playing with her, but I felt like I had a workout throughout this session.  She would not remain seated for more than a few seconds!  Then she removed the flower and placed that in her mouth too, just like a small child would.  Oh, and did I mention she is teething?  I got to feel her canine sharpies yesterday as she tried to soothe her gums around my fingers.   My advice to anyone with very young pets is to get them tired before taking photos!  Your bag of tricks should contain treats,  a pet toy and lots of patience.  These images were possible at the very end.  Doesn’t she look darling with her red flower?
